Our Approach

The approach we recommend is human-centered, value-driven, systemic, and adaptable. It is the combined result of learning through real-world experience, theory, and practicing it for our clients and our own needs.

  • Human-centered, because the highest-performing teams are made up of people who know how to combine their expertise to achieve common goals.
  • Value-Driven, because digital teams must go beyond the ability to deliver software by demonstrating their contribution to customer value realization and business impact.
  • Systemic, because our socio-technical organizations are complex, with multiple interconnected factors.
  • Adaptable, because each of our organizations is unique in its history, its people, its context, and its challenges.

Inspired by lean principles, digital and DevOps leaders can follow a four-step Kata improvement approach:

  1. Clarify the vision, strategic objectives, and customer value to be pursued.
  2. Analyze the current situation as objectively and transparently as possible.
  3. Define an intermediate target to be achieved, for example in 2-3 months.
  4. Implement improvements to remove obstacles one by one and measure their impact.

Alignment around value streams and Value Stream Mapping workshops are very practical techniques for quickly implementing such an approach. They offer immediate benefits and can resolve organizational friction points in just a few weeks.

We believe that the way in which a transformation initiative is carried out often reflects the existing or desired cultural environment. That is why we recommend adopting an approach based on collaborative workshops that break down silos, align teams around shared value objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

We recommend structured approaches, but above all we are flexible and eager to work with you to define those that are best suited to your context and constraints.
